The actual capacity will be approximately 930-940GB due to the difference in calculation methods between manufacturers (1GB=1000MB) and operating systems (1GB=1024MB). This is normal for all hard drives on the market, and a small portion is reserved for the disk management system.
What actual transfer speed will I get in daily use?
With a USB 2.0 port: approximately 30MB/s write and 40MB/s read. With a USB 3.0 port: approximately 40MB/s write and 50MB/s read. The speed will depend on your computer's performance, USB port type, and the size of the files transferred.
