It is not necessary. Installation is simple: just clean the surface, remove the protective adhesive, and stick the strip. It includes a WiFi controller that connects to a standard 110V outlet, and the strip operates safely at 12V.
Can I control the entire 20 meters with a single app or do I need multiple controllers?
The entire 20 meters are controlled with a single WiFi controller from your smartphone. You can change colors, adjust brightness, and schedule timings for the entire strip simultaneously using the iOS and Android compatible app.
Can the LED strip be cut if I don't need the full 20 meters?
Yes, the 5050 LED strip has cut marks every 3 LEDs (approximately every 5cm) where you can cut it with regular scissors without damaging its functionality. If you cut sections, you will need additional connectors to rejoin them.
Can I install this LED strip outdoors, such as in a garden or on a terrace?
Only if it is protected from direct rain and moisture. This strip is dust-resistant but not fully waterproof (IP20), making it ideal for interiors or covered outdoor areas such as pergolas or covered balconies.
How much electricity does a 20-meter LED strip consume when turned on all day?
It consumes approximately 120 watts at maximum brightness (6W per meter), which is equivalent to about $60-80 pesos per month if used 8 hours a day. It is much more efficient than traditional lighting, and you can reduce consumption by adjusting the brightness from the app.
